Now

Our sense of self is forever changing. Most people, myself included, anchor it to past achievements and experiences, or define it by future attainment and expectations. Change happens in the now — in what you are doing and focusing on. This page is for that. A practice in presence, and a record of what currently matters to me.

New year, new me

Black and white photo of a person with glasses laughing heartily.

Welcome to v2 of my website! New year new me – right?

Well hopefully this time it sticks. The migration from v1 to v2 has been a long time coming and I have been periodically trying to get it implemented for the last 2 years. I have never been the type of person to set new year’s resolutions and actually finish them. I usually chalked it up to me being undetermined when it comes to my own needs, and although there is probably a small truth to that, I also began thinking about the goals I was actually trying to set for myself. Many times, they appear too big, not quantifiable, and with no one clear path forward. And because I want to optimize or make it perfect, it starts this evil cycle of starting, not liking it, and then stopping it to prioritise my time on more “important” things.

Lets see if we can change that for 2026.

This website is already a step forward in that change. It is in no way, shape or form my perfect imagination of what my personal website should look and feel like – and that is okay. It will be a project for me to continuously add and improve on – a mindset I got inspired by from the build in public community. With that in mind, here is a list of things I hope to implement this year:

  1. Detailed case studies for each project. I want to share more of my thought process when working with real client projects, both to give you a better signal on how I work, but also for me to constantly rethink and be conscious of how I work. Cause I believe the progress is the most valuable part of a project, even more than the outputs and outcomes.
  2. Digital garden. A space to tend and cultivate my thoughts and hobbies. The cool thing about a digital garden is that, in its essence, is meant to be work in progress, which aligns a lot with the aforementioned mindset that I intend to have for this website in 2026
  3. Simpler, crafted components and interactions. I have been very inspired by the growing community of designer and developers prioritising details and craft in their work. In the age of GenAI that has made software much easier to implement, they have decided to pour time into thought and craft, making not just functional software, but delightful software that is empathic to its users. I am still trying to figure out how this mindset can be introduced into my day to day workflow.

I have always been a big sucker for learning new things. This year I want to get better at doing that and also put myself in a position, where I can share my thoughts as a leader or manager. Consequently, I hope to read the following books before summer holidays begins:

Coffee

Purchased this bag of Honduran coffee from a good acquaintance that just started a new café called Cabin near Store Kongensgade. We visited on a Saturday, and the place was fully packed. Got this nice Christmas edition from Tim Wendelboe. I am pretty sure they are one of the only cafés in Copenhagen selling his beans. Just got to try them after letting them rest for 2 weeks. Used my April brewer and the ZP6 grinder – the brew came out SOO nice! Looking forward to trying more of his roasts and dialing them in.
